What is perhaps less well known is the fact that each of his three wives, Edith, Eliza, and Harriett, played a significant role in his enterprises. Harriett took over the Waxworks on Max’s death and became a pioneering entrepreneur in Melbourne cinema, and has her own Notable entry.
