History Walk 9 November 2019

Despite chilly weather and a little rain, we held an enjoyable and interesting walk around ‘Dight’s Paddock’, attended by about 30 people. We learned about the Wurundjeri people, early explorers, the first resident colonists, and later subdivision, industrial heritage, and the hallowed ground of the Collingwood Football Club at Victoria Park, finishing at the Yarra Hotel in Johnston Street. Did you miss it? We will be writing up the notes from the walk and they will be added to the website under ‘Walks and Talks’, along with photographs. This addition be completed by the end of December.
